The committee has decided that in future rather than having our own Brewers Magazine we shall have a section in The new Hills Echo. Our current mag goes to shareholders and copies are left in the pub but The Hills Echo is delivered to all the households in the village and therefore has a much wider coverage. We shall ,however, continue to circulate our news via email to the shareholders and on our website. Many years ago the pub magazine was called The Brewers Bugle maybe we shall re-introduce that name?
Our AGM will be held on Saturday 26th September at The Elim Theatre . The full notice etc will be sent out in due course. This year 3 committee members are due to stand for re-election ( Mark Haslam, Martin Russell and me ) but also there is 1 unfulfilled vacancy . If you are interested in standing for election please let me know asap so that I can let you know what it entails .
The Armpit booking calendar is now online and linked to The Brewers Arms website. Anyone can book The Armpit. Currently there is no charge but we are going to have a “donations box”! A quid pro quo for not being charged is that those using The Armpit are asked to purchase drinks from the pub!
