We intend holding our second AGM on Saturday 21st September and as part of the proceedings we will (hopefully) be able to confirm 4 appointments to The Board.
3 members will be appointed for 3 years each and 1 person for 1 year. This will ensure that The Board will have 3 members who will serve 3 years each, 3 who will serve 2 years and 3 who will serve 1 year.
Current member Simon Thompson, whose 1-year term has expired is putting his name forward as is our co-opted member Kate Harding.
If you wish to be considered for membership of The Board could you email or write to me by 5 pm Wednesday 21st August, sending a short summary (no more than 150 words) of who you are, why you would like to join and what skills you feel you could bring.
Voting forms with the candidates’ summaries will then be sent out to all members for them to consider and vote.
There will be a strict timetable for return of the voting slips. Members will be asked to vote for 4 persons in order of preference. The first 3 will be voted on for 3 years and the fourth for 1 year.
I should add that we knew that there would be vacancies for 3 members, but the sad death of Rob Rankin (our Treasurer) means we have an additional vacancy.
