Farewell Silver, the horses we'll be riding for this year's beer festival are white and foamy - welcome to West Malvern on Sea!

With a proud maritime heritage that dates back to ...., OK, being resolutely land-locked doesn't mean the good people of west Malvern have to miss out on coastal capers. And we'll wager any number of doubloons (of course there'll be a Pirate Night) that capers will be nestling up alongside an even more caper-cious (sorry, Lee made me do it) fish menu from the kitchen, augmented this year by an outside food outlet.

Canny readers will detect a degree of ambiguity about what exactly is planned and they'd be right - the Friends of the Brewers are rolling up their trousers and dipping toes in all manner of seaside possibilities kicking off from 5pm on the Friday until lunchtime on the Sunday. Without doubt you can be assured that there will be galleons (oh yes!) of beer to sample and entertainment by the bucketload.
